Sincerest apologies! I could have sworn I made this post already, but obviously not.

AO3 Collection

Given the late date, I won't be trying to schedule posting times. Please post ASAP at a date and time that is convenient for you.

Step 1:

You may post wherever you wish, so long as it is open to the public. If you post to AO3 and wish to include your work in collection, the link is above.

You may post your art together with your story or in a separate post, just please clarify in your post to the community (Step 2) how to find the art.

Step 2:

Make a post to the community with the following information (asterisks are not required) :
  • Title
  • Author Username
  • Artist Username
  • Fandom
  • Characters/Pairings
  • Story Word Count
  • Story Rating
  • Story Warnings
  • Art Rating
  • Art Warnings
  • Author's Notes*
  • Artist's Notes*
  • Summary
  • Link to Story
  • Link to Art (if separate)

Step 3:

Enjoy each others' works.

I'll make a masterlist as soon as I think everyone has posted their creations.

Thank you so much for participating!

I apologize for my lack of communication. I had just over a week long unexpected absence from the internet.

At the last check-in, it sounded like only one group was ready to post. So, going forward, this is what I want to happen:
- Contact your author/artist and agree on a date when you will both be done and ready to post.
- Email me at fantasyfandom.bb@gmail.com with this agreed on date. I you could send me one email from both of you, that would make my life easier. Whoever sends the email, please CC the other person so I know you are both on the same page.
- Based on the dates you send me, I'll put together a posting schedule. This will probably end up having one group post each week to give other groups more time.

I know this is late notice, and that's my fault, but if you could get me your answers by Wednesday or Thursday I would appreciate it. Then posting could start the first week of September.

Thanks so much for all your patience! I look forward to seeing what you created.

We're having one final check in before everything is due. I need to know the following information by the end of the week.

If you are an author:

Username
Artist's Username
Finished Title
Artist's Title (if different)
Is your story completed?
If not, will it be done by the 15th?
Word count

If you are an artist:

Username
Author's Username
Finished Title
Author's Title (if different)
Is your art completed?
If not, will it be done by the 15th?
Would you be willing to do one more piece? (We still have one story that doesn't have an artist. The deadline would be extended and very flexible.)

There will be another post coming out shortly about posting, so be on the look out for that.

Because we still have two outstanding pinch hits, the due date for final drafts has been moved to August 15.
Posting will begin shortly after that.

With the due date for rough drafts and summaries rapidly approaching, here's a reminder for what I'm expecting to see.

First off, the rough drafts should be about 1/3 of your total estimated length with an outline detailing the rest, including your ending. For those of you without a calculator, 1/3 of 5000 is just over 1650 words. This rough draft doesn't have to be cohesive. It could be parts of several different scenes; it's just making sure you've made some progress and don't have a blank document.

The claim summaries are what are going to take a little more work. I'm requiring the following information in order to qualify your work to be claimed by an artist:
  • Working Title
  • Fandom
  • Rating
  • Warnings and Major Tags
  • Current Word Count
  • Estimated Final Word Count
  • Types of Relationships (Gen, F/M, F/F, M/M, Other)
  • Comprehensive Summary
I'm going to be particularly strict on these requirements because of our small number of artists.

Some things to keep in mind:
  1. Be honest
  2. Remember this summary is for the artists, not the readers. Even if the fact that your main character is secretly a shape-shifter is a major plot point, don't keep that a secret from the artist.

Even if you aren't able to meet one or both of these, you can still participate in the big bang, you just won't have your work put up to be claimed by an artist.

Good Luck!

Just a heads up that author sign ups are closed, and a reminder that artist sign ups have been extended until May 27!

We only have one more day for author sign-ups!

For those of you who are already signed up, remember rough drafts and summaries are due June 1st.

Artist sign-ups will be extended until May 27th, so if you know any artists, invite them to join.

Thanks to everyone participating!

The more people we have participating, the better the challenge will be for everyone. Right now we especially need more artists to sign up.

If you're willing, please pimp this big bang on your own sites, or other places around the lovely internet.
